Spa Etiquette and Policies


To ensure a great experience for each of my clients I ask that the following Spa Etiquette be observed:

Arrival
Please arrive 5-10 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment to allow time for you to check-in, fill out or update paperwork. New guests will be asked to complete a Client Consent Form prior to your scheduled skincare service. All forms can be found online or will be provided at the appointment. You may also be asked to update your information on a regular basis.

Why do I collect health information?
Health information is collected in order to promote a safe and healthy environment for my clients, to ensure continuity of information from one visit to the next, and to assist in customizing treatments to individual needs, particularly if there are medical issues or allergies which could have contraindications for certain products or services. Your health information can be updated annually or at your convenience. Please let me know if there are any new health concerns or allergies. No service is performed without a detailed consultation.

Late Arrival
Late arrival may result in a shortened treatment time to ensure that the next guest is not delayed. Please appreciate that I cannot adjust pricing for reduced service time due to late arrival. If you are running late, please call me to ensure that your appointment isn't cancelled and you aren't considered a no show. After 15 minutes your appointment will be cancelled with applicable charges.

Cell Phones
Please turn your cell phones off or set on silent during your time at the studio in consideration of others and enjoy your "me time".

Firm Cancellation Policy
All bookings will be confirmed with a credit card. Scheduled treatments are reserved especially for you. Please understand that when you forget or cancel your appointment without giving enough notice, I miss the opportunity to fill that appointment time and clients on my waiting list miss the opportunity to receive services they need. When you book your appointment, I will need a credit card to hold your appointment. Your card will not be touched, unless you do not show, and is held in an encrypted secured file that I can't even access. The only way I can charge this card is in the event that you do not show up. In that event that I do not receive the required notice for adjustments and cancellations the following fees will be applied to your card:

Notification given at least 12 hours prior to your appointment will receive no charges.
Notification given less than 12 hours prior to appointment time will result in a 50% charge of the service booked and can be used at your next service.

Failure to show up for your appointment will result in a 100% charge of the reserved service amount.
Your time is precious and I value every client, so I ask you to please appreciate and respect my time too.

Sanitation and Sterilization
Sanitation is a priority at Soteria Wellness. I use hospital grade sterilizer and virucides to thoroughly disinfect and clean all of my tools and equipment. If an item cannot be thoroughly sterilized it is thrown away after use. I use nitrite gloves during all services that this need is applicable. Please inform me if you have an allergy.

Children in the Studio
Due to the potentially hazardous chemicals, equipment that is hot to the touch, and expensive equipment in the studio, please make other arrangements for your children on appointment days. Soteria Wellness reserves the right to cancel your appointment and charge you for the booking - NO Exceptions! This is a Skin Care Studio, and I will not be held accountable for injury or accidents to, or caused by, unsupervised children.

Method of Payment and Gratuity
Cash, check and credit cards can be used as payment. Prices are subject to applicable taxes. Prices are subject to change. Treatment times are approximate. My services are priced so that you as a client can afford to continue with your skincare so therefore additional Gratuities are not included, nor expected, in the service price but are appreciated and accepted!

Returns / Exchanges
In-Store Credit or Exchange with receipt within 7 days of purchase. All gift cards are non-refundable and non-transferable. Sale items are final sale. No refunds on Services, Packages or Memberships. Opened or partially used products cannot be returned.

Valuables
You may be asked to remove jewelry for some treatments. However, Soteria Wellness does not assume liability for lost personal items. I supply a bowl for your personal belongings but prefer that you put them in a pocket, wallet, or purse.

Gift Certificates
Gift Certificates are non-refundable and are not redeemable for cash. All gift certificates must be mentioned prior to making your appointment. Additionally, gift certificates must be presented at your appointment. Multiple gift certificates may not be combined towards a single service or product purchase. Gift Certificates can only be used on full priced services. Dollar amount gift certificates do not include taxes or gratuity.

Spa Promotions
Spa specials cannot be used or combined with any other offer.

Packages
Packages are good from one year of date of purchase, non-transferable and may only be used by one person. They cannot be substituted toward other services. Packages are non-refundable. No Exceptions.
